By: PEDALOffered by PEDAL (Pedal Energy Development Alternatives), an organization that develops and promotes the use of pedal powered technology, the workshop is for individuals interested in learning in a more structured, classroom like way. The course covers drivetrain maintenance, brake and gear adjustment and flat tire repair. Courses are held at Our Community Bikes, 3283 Main Street near 17th Avenue, on the first Thursday of every month from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. By: It's a leisure ride, no pressure.Weekly Saturday rides, starting out from Cap's Bicycle Shop in Sapperton at 8am sharp. Try to get there early, because the ride leaves right at 8am. If you're taking the skytain, get off at Sapperton Station – it's less of a hill to climb. This ride is to get people out and riding. And is a great way to meet new people.

No one left behind and children are welcome. We ride from historic Fort Langley, the birthplace of BC, to Derby Reach and back via the Fort to Fort Trail. Mountain bikes or hybrids best suited for this ride. Recumbents are welcome and encouraged.

By: sharonThe Vancouver Bike Club  (VBC.BC.CA)is a grpoup of cycling enthusiasts who meet every Sat. (Leisure Ride) and Sun. (further and faster-paced). The leisure ride meets at the Arbutus Coffee Shop at 6th and Arbutus @ 10 a.m. and we follow designated bike routes in and around Vancouver. This fun, practical and hands-on course is for anyone who’d like to be more comfortable riding in traffic.  Through classroom and on-road training you'll learn about the safest place on the road to ride, how to maneuver your bike effectively, communicate with other road users, handle riding at night and in the rain, and more.

Long bikes, bakfiets, cargo trikes, mothers with kids in trailers, cargo trailers — all are welcome. We will try to avoid steep hills.  Very moderate pace.  If you have promo material for cargo bikes to hand out, bring it along.  We will go slowly enough that you can give it to interested people.
