Soft Serve Wednesday Bike Polo

Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 6:00pm. Games usually wrap up at dusk, depending on number and keenness of attendees.

By: East Van Bike PoloSoft Serve Wednesdays is East Van Bike Polo's program for newer and casual players, held at Grandview Park on Sundays from 6 PM onwards, weather permitting. Court time for new players is prioritized, although regulars will be on hand to provide loaner gear and nerd out about polo. You can play a few non-competitive games of pick-up, or just to say hi and check things out. Bring your friends, too! To start playing, you should be able to ride a bike with one hand. OCB WTQ Night

By: Our Community BikesTwice a month Our Community Bikes (OCB) open our doors after hours to women, trans and queer identifying people to use the shop. It’s a welcoming space for people who may feel less comfortable in the male dominated realms of cycling and mechanics. At WTQ night tool and stand rental are free! Just bring your bike down and our mechanics will be on hand to support you with your repair.

From building, maintenance to painting the bikes with their signature colours, its a fun way to get involved and learn about bike mechanics. No experience needed – we'll teach you! There’s no need to sign up beforehand, just drop in. All volunteers are provided with a free pizza dinner.
