By: AMS Bike Co-op and Bike KitchenCome help us work on our famed Purple and Yellow bike share fleet! From building, maintenance to painting the bikes with their signature colours, its a fun way to get involved and learn about bike mechanics. No experience needed – we'll teach you! There’s no need to sign up beforehand, just drop in. All volunteers are provided with a free pizza dinner.

By: Our Community BikesTwice a month Our Community Bikes (OCB) open our doors after hours to women, trans and queer identifying people to use the shop. It’s a welcoming space for people who may feel less comfortable in the male dominated realms of cycling and mechanics. At WTQ night tool and stand rental are free! Just bring your bike down and our mechanics will be on hand to support you with your repair.

This place is pretty packed, so we can take our goodies to the water for noshing. There’s one hill in Stanley Park and the bridge to overcome, otherwise it’s pretty level. Recumbent and friends

By: ColinA gentle 9.2km ride (each way), on designated bike routes, along the waterfront from Science World to Jericho Beach concession. There are few hills and a minimum of traffic, along the route. It should take about an hour to get to Jericho Beach, we'll hang out under the trees (washrooms and concession food available) to talk 'bent, then take our time returning to Science World. Science World is just across the street from the Main Street SkyTrain station and there are both ground level parking and parkades in the area.
