By: East Van Bike PoloEast Van Bike Polo presents Soft Serve Wednesday. Please invite all the new & aspiring players ! This is your chance to take your first steps & get your POLO started. Court time for new players is prioritized, although regulars will be on hand to provide loaner gear and nerd out about polo. You can play a few non-competitive games of pick-up, or just to say hi and check things out. Bring your friends, too! You can use your own bike, or borrow one at the loaner bikes. Loaner mallets will be provided as well.

Gender Liberation Night at the Bike Kitchen

By: Bike KitchenGender Liberation Night is a monthly Access Night for cis-women and trans and/or non-binary people of all genders to use the UBC Bike Kitchen’s shop space and tools, supported by informal mentoring. The purpose of the night is to offer a more welcoming, safer atmosphere in which people who are typically marginalized within the cycling community because of their gender identity and/or expression can work on their bikes, learn mechanics, and form connections. Seventy Years of Vancouverism: Exploring urban density from the West End to Senakw

By: Gordon PriceJoin past-city councillor Gordon Price on a circumnavigation of False Creek, from the West End to the site of the Senakw project at Burrard Bridge. Along the way, you'll see examples of Vancouver's experiments in livable urban density, from the 1950s West End to 1990s North Shore False Creek to the 1970s South Shore – with proposals for 2020s megaprojects. Of course, what connects them all is the Seaside Bikeway, one of our most important achievements in creating a great city.
