Roll The Dice Ride

By: MikeA ride led by chance. Big dice are rolled to determine how many blocks to ride, and which direction to turn once we get there (ie: Odd total = Turn right, Even = left). Previous years' rides have roamed both East Van and Mount Pleasant. Pleasant surprises have included ice cream, jungle gyms, and mostly unnoticed public art. What adventures will Lady Luck find for us this time? Since dice don't understand the concept of designated bike routes, riders should be pretty comfortable on city streets. During the summer on Wednesdays from 10:00am – 6:00pm, kids and youth can come trade a bike they have outgrown for one their size (includes bikes with 20” wheels or smaller). Unlike a regular library, you can keep the bike for as long as you need it without having to worry about renewing. Don’t have a bike? No problem! Court time for new players is prioritized, although regulars will be on hand to provide loaner gear and nerd out about polo.
