This ride is to get people out and riding. Great way to meet new people. It's a leisure ride, no pressure. Sorry, I have no idea where or how long the ride will be. The ride may be canceled due if heavy rain.

If you're taking the skytain, get off at Sapperton Station – it's less of a hill to climb. This ride is to get people out and riding. And is a great way to meet new people.

By: Richard Edge*Leisure – Easy (15-22 kph)* A leisurely pace and a distance of 20 km. Includes rollers and mild hills (3-4% grade). Re-group at hills and/or for slower riders if group spreads out. No one left behind and children are welcome. We ride from historic Fort Langley, the birthplace of BC, to Derby Reach and back via the Fort to Fort Trail. Mountain bikes or hybrids best suited for this ride. Recumbents are welcome and encouraged.

On June 27th at the Kitsilano Market, we will have a table set up near our bike valet area where our friendly volunteers will accept gently-used bike gear. Leave what you don’t want , and take what you can use from what others have donated. No cash necessary! We won’t be accepting whole bikes, sorry.    Any leftover gear will be donated to OCB. Expect to see giant kinetic sculptures, loads of bicycle enthusiasts, and an unforgettable outdoor dance party! This event will be powered with solar *and* pedal power! Throughout the event, there will be 9 teams of four 'watt-riders' who will be powering the pedal-powered sound system. In tandem with this energy source, an array of solar panels will also be powering the tents and info booth.
