Soft Serve Wednesday Bike Polo

Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 6:00pm. Games usually wrap up at dusk, depending on number and keenness of attendees.

By: East Van Bike PoloSoft Serve Wednesdays is East Van Bike Polo's program for newer and casual players, held at Grandview Park on Sundays from 6 PM onwards, weather permitting. Court time for new players is prioritized, although regulars will be on hand to provide loaner gear and nerd out about polo. You can play a few non-competitive games of pick-up, or just to say hi and check things out. Bring your friends, too! To start playing, you should be able to ride a bike with one hand. Not a member yet? Its easy. The cost is $40 per year. And this gets you access to free shop time on member nights, 10% off used parts, a vote at the OCB AGM, a one time free $5-$15 used part, and the sweet satisfaction of knowing you are helping out your community bike shop!

Purple & Yellow Volunteer Night

By: AMS Bike Co-op and Bike KitchenCome help us work on our famed Purple and Yellow bike share fleet! From building, maintenance to painting the bikes with their signature colours, its a fun way to get involved and learn about bike mechanics. No experience needed – we'll teach you! There’s no need to sign up beforehand, just drop in. All volunteers are provided with a free pizza dinner.
