LGBTQ2I Night @ The Bike Kitchen

By: AMS Bike Co-op and Bike KitchenLGBTQ2I Night provides a safe and positive space for anyone who identifies as LGBTQ2I to learn about bike maintenance in a relaxed environment led by a queer mechanics and volunteers. Bring your own bikes and fix them with our tools, come with questions and ask away, or learn by watching other folks work on their bikes. Beginners are always welcome! This event takes place on the fourth Wednesday of the month and is entirely FREE to attend and there will be FREE pizza.

OCB Members Night

By: OCBThe second and fourth Wednesday night of each month, from 630 – 930 pm, Our Community Bikes members and volunteers get to use the shop for free! Perfect time to get your bike ready for spring and summer riding. Not a member yet? Its easy. The cost is $40. This gets you access to free shop time on member nights, 10% off used parts, a vote at our AGM, a one time free $5-$15 used part and the sweet satisfaction of knowing you are helping out your community bike shop!

Soft Serve Sundays Bike Polo

Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 1:00pm. Games usually wrap up in the late afternoon/early evening, depending on number and keenness of attendees.

By: East Van Bike PoloSoft Serve Sundays is East Van Bike Polo's program for newer and casual players, held at Grandview Park on Sundays from 1 PM onwards, weather permitting. Court time for new players is prioritized, although regulars will be on hand to provide loaner gear and nerd out about polo. You can play a few non-competitive games of pick-up, or just to say hi and check things out. Bring your friends, too! To start playing, you should be able to ride a bike with one hand. By: AMS Bike Co-op and Bike KitchenEvery Tuesday (except holidays – check our calendar for shop closures), we run Purple and Yellow Volunteer Night from 6pm to 9pm at the Bike Kitchen. Simply drop in (no registration required!) and help us fix up injured P&Y bikes, build new members of the fleet, and paint the bikes their signature hues. No experience necessary – we have senior program leaders at every P&Y Volunteer Night to help you learn. People of all ages are welcome!
